Which St. Charles Offices Are at Stake in 2013?

Eight offices at stake in this year's municipal election.

Nomination packets for the consolidated election are available at the reception desk in the St. Charles Municipal Center, 2 E. Main St., the city announced Tuesday.

Petitions may not be circulated prior to Sept. 24, 2012, according to the city, which stated the completed nomination packets must be filed between Dec. 17 and Dec. 24, 2012. All are due back into the City Clerk's office by 5 p.m. Dec. 24, 2012.

The 2013 Consolidated Election will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013.

Offices up for election are:

  • Mayor ( Donald P. DeWitte)
  • City Clerk (Nancy Garrison)
  • City Treasurer (Warren Drewes)
  • Alderman, Ward 1 (Jon Monken)
  • Alderman, Ward 2 (Cliff Carrignan)
  • Alderman, Ward 3 (Bill Turner)
  • Alderman, Ward 4 (Jo Krieger)
  • Alderman, Ward 5 (Maureen Lewis)

The Kane County Election Department can assist you with questions about precincts or general election questions at 630-232-5990. The State Board of Elections may be reached at 217-782-4141.  All suggested election forms are available online at www.elections.il.gov. According to the release, the city recommends that candidates running for office consult with an attorney on specific questions they might have about election codes, requirements, etc.
