Blotter: DUI Arrest After Driving Across School Grounds and More

The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Dispute leads to DUI

A St. Charles man is facing drunken driving, reckless driving and battery charges after allegedly driving across elementary school grounds.

Thomas L. Dahleen, 50, of 1402 S. 9th St., was arrested on July 10. According to the police report, Dahleen allegedly argued with another man. This second man told reportedly police that Dahleen had followed him in his truck, drove his across the fields at Davis Elementary (Intermediate) School. After they stopped, they two got into a physical fight after Dahleen allegedly punched the other man in the face. It was during treatment of Dahleen's injuries that police noticed a smell of alcohol.

Dahleen was arrested for driving under the influence. Police also signed complaints for the battery and reckless driving charges.

Arguing and Drunken Driving

Mark D. Cochran, 44, of 1455 Walnut Hill Ave. in St. Charles faces two counts of drunken driving. According to the police report, Cochran was arrested on July 8 after police responded to a call for an argument that allegedly involved Cochran and another person.

Domestic battery charges

Nicholas J. Caria, 31, of 1401 Horne St. No. B, faces charges of domestic battery and aggravated domestic battery. According to the police report, Caria was arrested on July 8.
