DUI Charges for St. Charles Woman After She Allegedly Leaves Scene of Car Crash

A St. Charles woman faces drunken driving charges after allegedly leaving the scene of a car crash.

Julie Ann Pope, 46, of 2310 Forest Ridge Rd., was arrested on March 30 for two counts of driving under the influence and she received three citations, including one for failing to give information after a car crash.

According to the police report, police stopped Pope’s car after they had been dispatched to single-vehicle car crash where the driver had left the scene. Pope’s car had reportedly crashed into a light pole.

Pope allegedly told police she had been drinking. According to the report, police conduct tests for intoxication and, afterward, arrested Pope for DUI.
