Is the Cross-Dressing Flasher Back in St. Charles?

A Nov. 18 report to St. Charles police is eerily similar to one at the same hotel in July.

Police were called in on Nov. 18 to investigate a report of a man wearing a bra on the second floor of a St. Charles inn in a case that is similar to a report of a cross-dressing flasher at the same establishment in July.

Police were dispatched to the Holiday Inn Express, 1600 E. Main St., at 10:15 p.m. Nov. 18 after a guest reported to management that she had seen a man wearing women’s clothing in one of the stairwells. The man ran away when the woman entered the stairwell.

The desk attendant, who was working when the incident occurred in July, called police and then went to check the stairwell. She did not find the individual, but she did find a door that had been propped open with a stick.

The guest described the male as about 40 years old, thin build, brownishing and thinning hair, and wearing a white bra and a bed sheet wrapped around his lower body. The guest told police that when they saw each other, each one ran in opposite directions.

Police checking the build found several exterior doors of the building were unlocked; the desk clerk said they should be locked.

The incident is similar to one on July 24 at the same hotel, when an Indiana man reported that he twice encountered a man dressed in a bra and panties.
