Man Sought in Tuesday Bank Robbery

St. Charles police are searching for a man suspected in a Tuesday morning bank robbery.

At 11:58 a.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at the TCF Bank inside the Jewel Osco at 2073 Prairie St.

According to police, the suspect ran away with an undisclosed amount of money. Police from both St. Charles and Geneva departments, as well as the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, searched but were unable to find the man.

The suspect is described as white, in his mid-20s with short blond hair. He reportedly is 6 feet tall, has a medium build and weighs 170 to 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white sleeveless T-shirt and a pair of black-and-blue checkered shorts.

The man entered the store, approached the bank counter and demanded cash from the teller, according to police. He also implied that he had a gun but one was not seen.

No one was injured in the robbery, according to police.
