89-year-old woman went missing Sunday morning.

An elderly St. Charles wwoman who went missing after calling her daughter Sunday morning to say she was coming over for a visit was found Monday evening in East Lansing, Mich., St. Charles police said.

Sara Mignin, 89, of St. Charles, was located about 6 p.m. Monday after she stopped at a Panda Express in East Lansing and began asking for directions back to Illinois. According to St. Charles police, Mignin seemed confused, and customers began asking questions to learn if she had names and telephone numbers of family members. They then contacted her family, who in turn, contacted St. Charles police. Arrangements were made to return Ms. Mignin back to her home to St. Charles.

Police were dispatched at 9:15 a.m. Sunday to conduct a well-being check at Mignin’s home in the 3200 block of Renard Lane. Police said Mignin had contacted her daughter in St. Charles to say she was on her way over. Police were called after she failed to arrive after more than an hour but found no indications of foul play and soon aired a local broadcast via TriCom about Mignin and her vehicle to the Tri-City area, Kane County, and Illinois State Police District Two.

Authorities said she had no pressing health or cognitive issues. She recently seemed to have some forgetfulness.

According to the release, police determined that Mignin’s credit card was used to purchase gasoline at a gas station in Walworth, Wis., at 12:16 p.m. Sunday. The gas station reviewed its security tapes and it was determined that it was Mignin who pumped the gas. There has been no further credit card activity since then. Mignin used the credit card again at 10:30 a.m. Monday at a convenience store in Woodland, Mich., a small town just west of Lansing.
