Woman Comes Home to Find 2 in Her Bedroom

It might sound like the start of a Penthouse Forum letter, but it could have been just plain creepy. The pair gained entrance to the Batavia woman’s residence “by some unknown means,” police said, and the woman called 911. An officer later contacted one of the suspect offenders and told her she would be charged with criminal trespass if they returned.

Grinch Dims Residents' Festive Lighting

Talk about not being in the Christmas spirit. Two residents in the 5300 block of Florence Lane told police someone tampered with Christmas-inspired outdoor lighting at their homes. One man told police that between 11:30 p.m. Dec. 13 and 12:30 a.m. Dec. 14, two decorative lamps lit by Christmas-themed bulbs were removed from his garage and a gate to his yard. While officers were responding to the man's call the next morning, a neighbor chimed in that someone had swapped out his Christmas-colored bulbs with regular light bulbs.
