Police Blotter: Mischief Around Town Results in Hundreds of Dollars in Damage
Vandals target a car and a statue.
An alert mail carrier informed police of a broken car window at 615 S. 6th Ave. on June 6. The vehicle's owner told police nothing appeared to be missing from the car and a police report did not indicate a dollar amount for the damage.
A security guard for the St. Charles Park District called police about damage to a bicycle statue in Mount St. Mary Park at 700 Geneva Rd. Damage to the statue is estimated at $100 and the statue’s value was listed as $650.
