Police Seek Information on Person Who Jumped from Metra Tracks Into Fox River

The Geneva Police Department responded to the Fox River Monday night after a Metra representative called to report a person jumped from the Union Pacific Railway trestle in Geneva into the Fox River to avoid being hit by an oncoming train. 

The Geneva Fire and Police departments received the report at 10:53 p.m. Firefighters proceeded to search the Fox River, and police checked the river banks for the individual. 

Following a two-hour search, no victim was found. No additional search efforts will take place unless further details develop, police said Tuesday.
