Scrap Metal Taken from St. Charles Business

Here is an item from the St. Charles police blotter.

About $9,000 in scrap metal was reported stolen from a Kirk Road business on March 19.

According to the police report, about 400 unusable metal gate panels from damaged shopping carts were stolen from the business that does shopping cart repairs sometime during the previous week.

The business owner told police that metal scrappers have been seen in the area, according to the report.
