Sheriff's Office Investigates Armed Robbery at St. Charles Park

Police believe two groups of young adults are involved in an armed robbery over the weekend.

Kane County Sheriff's deputies continued to interview people Monday in connection with an armed robbery in a rural St. Charles park over the weekend.

"We're still interviewing people and collecting evidence," said Sheriff's spokesman Lt. Pat Gengler.

Two separate groups of people reportedly met at Primrose Park, 37W755 Bolcum Road, sometime before 9:10 p.m. Friday. According to police, the suspected robbery happened at some point while the two groups were together.

It remains unclear why the groups of people, described as about 10 people total between the ages of 16 and 20 from areas between Elgin and the Tri-Cities.

No one was injured and no arrests were reported Monday.
