Special Enforcement Effort Nets 2 DUIs in St. Charles
St. Charles police also issued 32 citations and 39 warnings during the two-week effort that ended March 17,2013.
St. Charles police made two drunken-driving arrests and issued 32 citations during a two-week enforcement campaign that ended Sunday, March 17, 2013, the St. Charles Police Department announced in a release Friday.
The two-week enforcement effort was made in conjunction with a traffic safety campaign done in cooperation with, and funded by, the Illinois Department of Transportation, the release states.
During this enforcement period, St. Charles police made two DUI arrests and issued:

- Two citations for safety belts;
- Two citations for suspended/revoked license;
- 14 citations for uninsured motorists;
- 11 citations for speeding’
- Three citations for other violations.
Officers also issued 39 warnings for various violations, the release states.
According to the release, the enforcement effort is part of a statewide program to reduce the number of traffic fatalities. The St. Charles Police Department asks people to drive carefully and help in removing impaired drivers from our streets.
