St. Charles Man Says He Drank 'Five or Six' Beers; Receives DUI Citation

A St. Charles man faces driving under the influence charges after telling police he had “five or six beers” at a downtown bar.

Keith Allen Galgraith, 26, of 1420 S. 14th St. No. D, is charged with two counts of DUI and also is cited with three traffic violations.

On Feb. 17, police stopped a blue Ford Explorer driven by Galgraith after he was observed not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report. The officer smelled alcohol coming from the driver and, when asked, Galbraith told police he had consumed five to six beers.

According to the report, Galbraith failed field sobriety tests during the stop and later tested at a 0.142 blood-alcohol level.
