St. Charles Man Stands Accused of Assaulting a Police Officer

Here is an item from the city police blotter.

A St. Charles man is accused of assaulting a police officer and punching a tavern door.

Sean Adam Stone, 23, of 38W795 Bonnie Ct., is charged with criminal damage to property and aggravated assault of a police officer.

According to a police report, Stone allegedly had been removed from a downtown bar after a fight on the second floor of the establishment. He reportedly came back and punched the door, breaking glass and damaging the door frame.

After Stone was arrested and taken to the police station, he allegedly cocked his fist back as if he was going to punch one of three officers standing within 2 feet of him. When they then handcuffed him to a book bench, he reportedly threatened to kill one of them.
