St. Charles Police Alcohol-Related Arrests

DUIs, drunkenness, public urination, fighting and more gleaned from St. Charles police reports released this week.

MONDAY, SEPT. 9, 2013


Public Drunkenness


Kaycee Michelle Znalezniak, 23, of the 400 block of South Avenue, was cited at 12:01 a.m. at 1710 Jeanette Ave., was charged with disorderly conduct-public drunkenness. Police were called to the address for a request to remove an unwanted individual. The residents did not want to press charges but wanted Znalezniak. The report states she was uncooperative with police and directed profanities at the officer, who was trying to obtain her driver’s license and other information. She finally was cited and instructed to go home.

Public Drunkenness


Daniel C. Turner, 23, of the 600 block of Tyler Road, Genoa, and Matthew C. Murphy, 24, of the 42W500 block of Hidden Springs Drive, St. Charles, were each cited at 11:55 p.m. at Alley 64, 212 W. Main St., with disorderly conduct-public drunkenness. Police were called to the business to assist medics after a report of a man falling. Turner, who police said was extremely intoxicated, had fallen and could not stand up again because he could not regain his balance. A bouncer told police he caught Turner and Murphy trying to leave the bar through the back door and stopped them because they had drinks with them. He also told the two men they were cut off from any more alcohol for the night. The report states Turner fell through the metal railing for the ramp leading out the back door. Police said Murphy also was heavily intoxicated. Both men were released into the care of Murphy’s father, who arrived later.


Underage Alcohol Possession/Consumption


  • Nicholas Michael Humbles, 19, of the 3N400 block of Oak Road, was charged at 7:17 a.m. at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E. Main St., with underage possession of alcohol, possession of a controlled substance, and obstructing/resisting a peace officer. He was held in jail pending a court appearance.

  • Nicholas R. Brooks, 18, of the 42W300 block of Windsor Court, was cited at 6:31 a.m. at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E. Main St., with underage possession/consumption of alcohol.

  • Niall C. McNally, 19, of the 400 block of Hunters Gate Road, was cited at 6:23 a.m. at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E. Main St., with underage possession/consumption of alcohol.

  • Ryan P. Prey, 20, of the 700 block of Cutler Street, was cited at 3:41 a.m. at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E. Main St., with underage possession/consumption of alcohol.


  • Public Urination


    Elva E. Reynolds, 40, of the 1800 block of Walnut Street, was cited at 2:20 a.m. at CITGO, 307 W. Main St., with public urination. A police officer in his squad car, which was parked at the station, saw Reynolds stumbling around the lot as if looking for something, and then she disappeared around a corner of the building. When she did not return, the officer went to check on her and found her sitting with her pants around her ankles as she was urinating. When she was finished, she pulled her pants up and furnished the officer with her ID as requested, the report states.


    Public Urination


    Carson Bickert, 23, of the 1600 block of Huntington Road, was cited at 1:25 a.m. on the 200 block of Cedar Street, behind The Alibi Bar & Grill, 12 N. 3rd St., with public urination.


    Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol


    Andrew Joseph Bihner, 24, of the 2N900 block of Beith Road, Elburn, was charged at 1:07 a.m. on the 300 block of Cedar Street with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol concentration greater than .08, and speeding-49 in a 30 mph zone. Police said his blood-alcohol concentration was .151. He posted his driver’s license and $100 cash bond and was released pending an Oct. 16, 2013 court appearance.


    SATURDAY, SEPT. 7, 2013


    DUI


    Nathan J. Scherer, 23, of the 11N700 block of Orchard Lane, Elgin, was charged at 12:38 a.m. at North 3rd and Cedar streets with DUI, and improper lane use. He was issued a notice of summary suspension and was released pending an Oct. 16, 2013 court appearance.


    Three Cited in Fight


    An apparent argument over a spilled drink erupted into a fight at The Alibi Bar & Grill, 12 N. 3rd St., police said. Cited with public fighting were: Jack Y. Fadel, 21, of Dedham, Mass.; Eric Montanez, 25, of the 3300 block of Indiana Street, Chicago; and Elliott Montanez, 31, of the 500 block of Romford Court, Roselle. Fadel and witnesses told police the dispute began after a drink was accidentally spilled after last call before closing time. An argument started that erupted into a fight outside the tavern.


    FRIDAY, SEPT. 6, 2013


    DUI


    Douglas G. Longmuir, 58, of the 1600 block of Pamela Drive, Elgin, was charged at 1:24 a.m. at North 4th and West Main streets DUI, DUI with a blood-alcohol concentration greater than .08, no driver’s license, improper lane use and disobeying a traffic control device. Police said his blood-alcohol concentration registered .094. Bond details were not immediately available.  


    THURSDAY, SEPT. 5, 2013


    Open Alcohol


    Andrew J. Schaus, 32, of the 500 block of Charing Cross Road, Elk Grove, was cited at 12:09 a.m. at West Main and 1st streets with open alcohol. Police said they saw Schaus leave the Hotel Baker, 100 W. Main St., with an open bottle containing an alcoholic beverage.


    AUG. 9, 2013


    DUI


    John S. Flanagan, 28, of the 900 block of Lewis Road, Geneva, was charged at 1:37 a.m. at 300 S. Randall Road, with DUI and improper lane use, according to an arrest report released this week.
