St. Charles Police Arrest Glen Ellyn Man for Battery, Disorderly Conduct

Nicholas E. Muniz accused of inappropriately touching two minor girls.

A Glen Ellyn man was arrested Sunday afternoon for allegedly "inappropriately" touching two minor girls on two separate occasions at a St. Charles retail store.

Nicholas Edward Muniz, of Glen Ellyn, was charged with two counts of battery and two counts of disorderly conduct for inappropriate contact with a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl at Target, 3885 E. Main St. After reports of the touching incidents, which occurred May 11 and May 12, were filed, St. Charles officers contacted Target loss prevention officers who reviewed store videos and were able to provide suspect and vehicle information.

St. Charles officers set up surveillance on May 13 and saw a man and vehicle matching Muniz' description pull into the store parking lot. Officers ran the license plates and found the car was registered to Muniz. Muniz, 24, was taken into custody without incident as he exited the store Sunday afternoon. Muniz was transported to the St. Charles Police Department and officers conducted further investigation. He was booked and released on bond.
