TUESDAY, MAY 28, 2013
Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
Alexander David Johnson, 20, of the 500 block of Fulton Street, Geneva, was charged at 3:16 a.m. at South 9th Avenue and South Avenue with driving under the influence of alcoholm DUI with a blood-alcohol concentration greater than .08, consumption of alcohol by a minor, and improper lane use. Johnson was cited after an accident without injuries at that location, according to police. His blood-alcohol concentration was .144.
Retail Theft
Sarah Nicole Gihl, 26, of the 1500 block of Turnberry Court, Geneva, was cited at 5:07 p.m. at Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road, with retail theft after the store reported the theft of $55.97 in assorted merchandize.
Disorderly Conduct
Ryan Patrick Bashaw, 34, of the 500 block of Division Street, was charged with resisting a peace officer, disorderly conduct and pedestrian under the influence of alcohol after police used a Taser to subdue him ay 11:16 p.m. outside his home. Police released him on his own recognizance, and he was transported by ambulance to Delnor Hospital in Geneva.
3 Cited with Tobacco Sale
Police cited three people with selling tobacco to minors on Sunday. Michael P. Boylan, 30, of the 1700 block of Kay Road, Wheaton, Constance M. Gallagher, 44, of the 1200 block of Canterfield Parkway, West Dundee; and Syed J. Jaffri, 23, of the 2500 block of Hatfield Court, Elgin, each was cited with sale of tobacco to a minor. Further details were not available.

Criminal Property Damage
Carren Lynn Hutner, 48, of the 200 block of Chasse Circle, was charged at 12:04 p.m. at the St. Charles Police Department, 211 N. Riverside Drive, with criminal property damage after a witness told police Hutner keyed a vehicle in the 3400 block of Campton Hills Road and then leave. She posted $150 cash bond and was released pending a June 20, 2013 court appearance.

House Pub Co-Owner Cited After Dust-Up
Thomas P. Wojcik, 38, of the 100 block of South Fordham Avenue, Aurora, was cited at 12:28 a.m. with fighting after police responded to a fight at The House Pub, 16 S. Riverside Ave. Police were called after a former employee reported that, without provocation, Wojcik had demanded he leave the bar, then pushed him and, once outside, pushed hime again and struck him with an open hand. Statements from three witnesses corroborated the ex-employee’s report. Wojcik told police he told the ex-employee to leave the bar but he refused.
DUI
Greg J. Wyman, 40, of the 5100 block of South Newland, Chicago, was acharged at 1:30 p.m. at Geneva Road and Mosedale Street with driving under the influence of alcohol, and improper lane use. He posted his driver’s license and $300 cash bond and was released pending a July 11, 2013 court appearance.
Public Urination
Jessica Renee Davis, 22, of the 400 block of Thorne Street, Batavia, was cited at 2:06 a.m. with public urination after police saw her stand up from a squatting position with her rear end exposed next to a stree in the 200 block of West Main Street.
Criminal Property Damage
Raymond Bruce Barnes Jr., 32, of the 200 block of North Tyler Road, was charged criminal property damage after taillights were broken out on a car parked in the 100 block of South 14th Street. He was unable to post bond and was transported to the Kane County Jail pending a court appearance.
Warrant Arrest
Michael David Gentile, 31, of the 00-99 block of North Batavia Avenue, Batavia, was arrested at 11:19 a.m. after her surrendered to police at the St. Charles Police Department, 211 N. Riverside Drive, on a Kane County warrant for failure to appear in court. He posted $1,000 cash bond, a $50 booking fee and a $75 warrant fee and was released pending a June 20, 2013 court appearance.
Theft of Less Than $500
An 18-year-old Elgin resident reported at 2:55 p.m. the theft of a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses valued at $120 while he was working at Otter Creek Park, 3615 Campton Hills Drive.
Identity Theft
Naomi Nichole Neeley, 33, of the 10000 block of Aberdeen, Chicago, was charged at 5 p.m. at 3351 W. Main St., with identity theft, possession of a fraudulent identification, and use of an account with intent to defraud-less than $150. Further details were not immediately available. Neeley was held in the Kane County Jail pending a court appearance.

Public Drunkenness, Public Urination
Kevin W. Berls, 21, of the 800 block of Liberty Avenue, was cited at 1:22 a.m. at North 3rd and Cedar streets with disorderly conduct-public drunkenness, and public urination after police saw him urinating on the door step of a downtown business.
Mailbox Vandalism Spree
Reports by two residents who told police their mailboxes had been damaged overnight led to the discovery that seven others also had been damaged. A 65-year-old resident of the 1600 block of Keim Trail reported at 5:26 a.m. that someone had damaged his mailbox overnight. While investigating, police discovered that five other mailboxes also had been damaged at — three in the 1200 block and one in the 1100 block of Keim Trail, and one in the 1300 block of Hawkins Court. About 8:59 a.m., a 56-year-old resident of the 1500 block of Keim Trail reported his mailbox also had been damaged, and police found three more mailboxes at neighboring homes also had been damaged.
Retail Theft
Victor H. Calderon, 43, of the 1300 block of Covington Court, was cited with theft after Goodwill Industries, 2750 E. Main St., reported at 3:44 p.m. the theft of two pieces of jewelry, five sets of earrings and two pieces of electronic equipment with a combined value of $22.89. Calderon was banned from the store.
House Egged
A 47-year-old resident of the 500 block of South 11th Avenue reported at 10:11 p.m. that her house had been egged.
Minor With Alcohol, Speeding
Katherine M. Kelley, 18, of the 1200 block of Winners Cup Circle, was cited at 12:59 a.m. at Country Club Road and Stonewood Drive with consumption of alcohol by a minor. She was released pending a June 20m 2013 court appearance. A 16-year-old who was driving the vehicle also was cited with speeding-50 in a 35 mph zone, consumption of alcohol by a minor and a citation under the state’s zero tolerance statute related to drinking and driving.

Criminal Damage to Property
A 43-year-old resident of the 100 block of Walnut Drive reported at 4:08 p.m. that someone scratched up his 1997 Ford van while it was parked in the lot of the Fox Run Apartments where he lives.
DUl
John Michael Kelley, 47, of the 100 block of Walnut Drive, was charged at 10:58 p.m. at Dean Street and Randall Road with driving under the influence of alcohol, and speeding. He was released on his own recognizance after surrendering his driver’s license pending a June 19, 2013 court appearance.
Theft of Gasoline
A 22-year-old resident of the 100 block of Walnut Drive reported at 11:40 p.m. that someone had siphoned about $20 worth of gasoline from her vehicle while it was parked in the lot at Fox Run Apartments where she lives. The theft occurred between May 22 and May 24.
