Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

Michael L. Mancini, 22, of the 3N700 block of Herman Melville Lane, was charged at 12:25 a.m. at South Tyler and North Tyler Road with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08, and driving without a windshield cleaning device. Mancini’s blood-alcohol content was not listed in the report. He was released on his own recognizance after posting his driver’s license pending a Dec. 6 court appearance..

SUNDAY, NOV. 4, 2012

DUI

Edward T. Gabel, 23, of the 5N700 block of Arboretum Lane, was charged at 12:09 a.m. in the 1600 block of East Main Street with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08, and improper lane use. Police said his blood-alcohol content was .198. He was released on his own recognizance after posting his driver’s license pending a Dec. 6 court appearance.

Disorderly Conduct/Public Drunkenness

Tammy K. Kavanaugh, 44, of the 100 block of Illinois Street, was cited at 12:15 a.m. at in the 100 block of Illinois Street with disorderly conduct/public drunkenness.

SATURDAY, NOV. 3, 2012

DUI

Jack Hoyt King, 60, of the 6N500 block of Promontory, was charged at 12:23 a.m. in the 99 block of North 3rd Street with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08, and improper lane use after a car struck a utility pole. Police said the driver was King and that his blood-alcohol content later registered at .129. He posted his driver’s license and $100 cash bond and was released pending a court appearance.

THURSDAY, NOV. 1, 2012

Cannabis, Paraphernalia Possession, Speeding

Courtney Robert Boyd, 22, of the 2200 block of Century Point Lane, Glendale Heights, was cited at 12:04 a.m. on North 12th Avenue with speeding, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a notice to appear in court Dec. 20.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 31, 2012

Car Theft

Elburn police responded to a rollover accident along Route 38 at 4:36 p.m. to find two people running away from the accident into a cornfield. Elburn police requested a K-9 unit, and St. Charles police assisted but were unable to local any suspects. St. Charles police then went to the 1600 block of Covington Court in St. Charles, where they met with the owner of the wrecked car, who had just returned home from work about 7:05 p.m. The owner, a 44-year-old resident told police the vehicle, a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am, had been left unlocked with the keys under the driver’s seat in a parking lot on Wessel Court earlier in the day. The owner told police he did not know of anyone besides his wife who would have known the vehicle was unlocked with the keys inside.

Open Alcohol in a Public Place

Brian W. Cole, 51, of the 200 block of Illinois Street, was cited at 6:41 p.m. in the 700 block of West Main Street, with open alcohol in a public place. Police said he was walking with an open can of beer.

Criminal Damage to Property

A 23-year-old Chicago resident report at 2:03 p.m. that someone had slashed all four tires on his vehicle, a 2002 Saturn Ion, while it was parked in a lot at 3950 Stern Ave. between 10:30 a.m. and 12:58 p.m.

Theft of Less Than $500

Brandon Thurston, 19, of the 1400 block of Adams Avenue, was charged at 9:57 a.m. with theft of less than $500. According to police, Thurston sold three bracelets, two pendants, one ring and one pair of earrings for $87 to the victim at the Goldmine, 213 W. Main St., on Tuesday, Oct. 30, but the the victim suspected they had been stolen and called police. Police interviewed Thurston, who told police he had taken the jewelry and sold it. He was released on $150 cash bond pending a Dec. 13 court appearance.
