St. Charles Police Blotter: Criminal Property Damage, Theft, Warrant Arrests

Criminal Property Damage
A 68-year-old Oswego man reported at 5:53 p.m. that someone had broken out the rear window of his 2009 Honda Civic while it was parked in a parking area between Valley Shopping Center and Indiana Street. The vehicle was parked with its rear window facing the St. Charles Place Apartments, police said. Damage was estimated at between $300 and $400.
Purse, Wallet Stolen
A 93-year-old resident of the 200 block of North 2nd Street (Route 31) reported at 9:41 a.m. that someone had stolen her purse and wallet, which she mistakenly left in a vestibule in the lobby of Carroll Tower, 200 N. 2nd. St., while she was being picked up by a family member. The incident occurred between 9 and 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 1. According to the report, $75 in cash, a checkbook and debit card, as well as health care cards and other documents were in the wallet and purse.

Warrant Arrest
Jiminez Rodrigo, 34, of the 600 block of Indiana Avenue, was arrested at 9:33 a.m. on the 37W700 block of Route 38, on an unspecified warrant. Further details were not immediately available.

Warrant Arrest
Gladis Avila, 27, of the 600 block of 11th Avenue, was arrested at 7 p.m. at her home on an unspecified warrant. Further details were not immediately available. She posted $500 cash bond pending an Oct. 10, 2013 court appearance.
