Driving Under the Influence

Megan L. McNamara, 21, of 59 Southgate Course Court, was charged at 11:05 p.m. in the 300 block of West Main Street with driving under the influence of alcohol; DUI with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08; speeding, 75 in a 30, and driving without lights when required. Police said she had a blood-alcohol content of .207. She was released on her own recognizance after posting her driver’s license pending a Jan. 17, 2013, court appearance.

Deceptive Practice, Forgery

Shebria C. Williams, 18, of the 2200 block of South Ridgeway Avenue, Chicago, and Tiffany Ann Taylor, 37, of the 1400 block of Talman Avenue, Chicago, were each charged at 8:17 p.m. Dec. 15, 2012, with deceptive practice-greater than $150; and forgery. According to St. Charles police, the two presented a forged check at The Private Bank, 24 S. 2nd St., St. Charles, and then another forged check at The Private Bank in Geneva; they were taken into custody a short time later by Geneva police. St.Charles police took the two women into custody at 20 Police Plaza, Geneva, and transported them back to St. Charles, where they were charged. Both women were being held in the Kane County Jail to await a court appearance.
