Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol


Joyy Danielle Norris, 28, of the 5200 block of Drexel Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 12:49 a.m. on the 600 block of East Main Street with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol concentration greater than .08, no insurance, and speeding-44 in a 30 mph zone. Police said her blood-alcohol concentration was .174. She posted her driver’s license and an unspecified bond and was released pending a court appearance.

Graffiti On East Main Street


Zurko Midwest Promotions of Shawano, Wis., was the victim of spray-painted graffiti to the passenger side of a truck reported at 5:31 p.m. Tuesday at the DuPage Expo Center, 4070 E. Main St. Police said the graffiti resembled that of an incident which was reported at 5:03 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, also at 4070 E. Main St. In that incident, someone had spray-painted graffiti on a transformer box.


Personal Trash Dumped in Business Dumpster


Critters Pet Shop, 1437 W. Main St., reported at 4:18 p.m. that someone had illegally dumped personal garbage in the business’s Dumpster. The offender was contacted and agreed to remove the garbage.

Meter Loose, Climbers Suspected


The city of St. Charles reported at 10:43 a.m. that an electrical meter box had been jarred loose from the wall of a business at 319 N. 9th St. A city meter technician told police he suspected the meter had been used as a step to climb off the roof of the building. The building’s owner told police he recently had been on the roof of the building with an electrician, but had noticed nothing amiss up there.


20-Foot Tree Branch Crashes on Car


A couple living on the 200 block of Fairview Driver reported at 18:22 a.m. that a 20-foot tree branch fell onto their 2003 Nissan Altima while it was parked in front of their home the night before. The couple told police they heard a loud noise at 11 p.m. and found the 20-foot branch, which was three to four inches in diameter at the base, had fallen and struck the hood of their vehicle.

Warrant Arrest


Adria Lynn Nuessen, 44, of the 00-99 block of Hightree Course, was arrested at 6:16 p.m. at the St. Charles Police Department, 211 N. Riverside Drive, after she surrendered to police on a warrant for failure to appear on a driving under the influence charge. She was released on an unspecified bond pending a court appearance.


Identity Theft


A 70-year-old St. Charles resident reported to police that someone attempted to use his credit card number to make an online order to purchase a $183.59 Garmin GPS from Office Depot. An Office Depot loss-prevention officer called the resident to confirm the order, which had sought delivery to an address not associated with the credit card. The item had been ordered with shipment to an individual in Chicago. The resident told police he would cancel his credit card.


Property Defacement


A 40-year-old resident of the 1600 block of Riverside Avenue reported at 9:17 a.m. that someone had spray-painted the letters “RAWR” on her 6-foot fence, and that the black letters were nearly as tall as the fence.


Cellphone Theft


A West Chicago woman reported at 4:37 p.m. that someone had stolen her iPhone from her purse, which she left in a shopping cart while she and her husband were looking at some items on a shelf. The couple was shopping at Walmart, 150 Smith Road.
