SUNDAY, SEPT. 16, 2012

Driving Under the Influence

Adam Joseph Wienecke, 23, of the 2000 block of Wessel Court, was charged at 10:07 p.m. at 2000 Prairie Street with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08, and failure to yield. According to police, a breath test showed his blood-alcohol content registered at .249, more than three times the legal limit of .08.

Warrant Arrest, Public Urination

Jason Charles Carroccio, 30, of Melbourne, Fla., was arrested at 1:30 a.m. at Cedar and North 2nd streets on a DeKalb County warrant for criminal damage to property. Police said they first encountered Carroccio urinating in public at the 200 block of West Main Street, for which he was cited. He was transferred to the custody of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

Vehicle Burglary

A 45-year-old Naperville woman reported at 11:09 a.m. the theft of a gym bag containing makeup and curlers from the back of her vehicle, whose rear passenger window was shattered.

Harassment By Electronic Communications

A 34-year-old resident of the 40W800 block of Brown Road reported at 11:16 a.m. from a contractor her had terminated at his business. According to the report, the harassment began with numerous text messages and, when the victim did not respond, continued with phone calls. Police called the contractor and left a message advising him to stop.

Lost/Stolen License Plate

Nissan of St. Charles, 2535 E. Main St., reported at 10:26 a.m. the theft or loss of a dealer license plate.

Criminal Damage to Property

A 39-year-old resident of the 100 block of North 15th Street reported at 6:40 a.m. that someone had punctured the rear tires of his 1999 Chevrolet S10 while it was parked overnight in the lot at his address. Damage was estimated at $270.

Theft of Less Than $500

A 25-year-old Palatine woman reported at 8:40 p.m. the theft of a Samsung cellphone, which she had left for a short time in a restroom at 1750 Wallace Ave. It was gone when she returned for it.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 13, 2012

Vehicle Burglary

A 27-year-old Carpentersville man reported at 3:27 a.m. that someone entered his unlocked vehicle while it was parked at 1800 Wessel Court and took an iPhone charger, an iPhone auxiliary cord and a house key. No value for the items was reported.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 9, 2012

Criminal Damage to Property

A 19-year-old resident of the 900 block of Illinois Avenue reported at 10:54 p.m. that someone keyed the front of his vehicle while it was parked a2801 E. Main St. No damage estimate was reported.
