Disorderly Conduct/Public Drunkenness

Marc T. Okerblad, 21, of the 500 block of Harrison Street, Batavia, was charged at 2:20 a.m. at 301 W. Main St., with disorderly conduct/public drunkenness, resisting a peace officer and violation of bail bond. Police who were downtown for bar closing said Okerblad approached an officer and demanded a ride home, and the officers informed him he should call a cab. He continued to press the issue in what police called a confrontational manner and would not back down after being told repeatedly to call a cab or someone for a ride home. Police cited him with disorderly conduct/public drunkenness and said he initially refused to cooperate when asked for his identification, then refused to take the ticket and his identification once the citation was written. When officers handcuffed him, police said he resisted getting into a squad car. He was transported to the Kane County Jail on a charge of violating his bail bond related to a Dec. 7 incident in which he was charged with public intoxication and resisting a peace officer. He was being held pending a court appearance.

Criminal Trespass, Resisting

Zachary Joseph Nuccio, 23, of the 1400 block of Pleasant Drive, Bartlett, was charged at 1:24 a.m. at The Pub, 222 W. Main St., with criminal trespass and resisting a peace officer. Police saw Nuccio, yelling and screaming, attempt to re-enter The Pub three times after he had been pushed out. A police officer grabbed Nuccio after he was pushed out the third time, and said Nuccio resisted. The Pub told police Nuccio left after last call and was denied re-entry. According to the report, he was trying to go back inside to get his jacket. Police said a woman friend of Nuccio brought his jacket to him as he was being taken into custody. He was released after posting $150 cash bond and a $50 booking fee pending a Jan. 10, 2013, court appearance.

Two Nabbed on DUI, Drug Charges

Alan Patric Heidecke, 22, of the 34W900 block of James Drive, was charged at 9:23 p.m. in the 300 block of Johnson Avenue with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and speeding, 49 in a 35 mph zone on Red Gate Bridge. He posted his driver’s license and was released on his own recognizance pending a Jan. 17, 2013, court appearance. During the traffic stop, one of three passengers in the vehicle, Kyle William Sullivan, 23, of the 3500 block of Deville Lane, was charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Heidecke posted his driver’s license and was released on his own recognizance pending a Jan. 17, 2013, court appearance; Sullivan was released on his own recognizance.

SATURDAY, DEC. 29, 2012

DUI

Chad Allan Schroeder, of the 1000 block of Horizon, Bartlett, was charged at 12:29 a.m. on the 1400 block of North 5th Avenue (Route 25) with driving under the influence of alcohol, and improper lane use after Schroeder’s northbound vehicle struck a southbound vehicle, which was stopped in the left-turn lane at Country Club Road. Schroeder was released on his own recognizance after paying a $50 processing fee. He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 23, 2013.
