St. Charles Police Blotter: Retail Theft, Public Drunkenness

SUNDAY, APRIL 7, 2013

Retail Theft

Stephanie L. Bruckner, 34, of the 34W600 block of Elm Court, was charged at 4:11 p.m. at , with retail theft. According to police, Bruckner took miscellaneous grocery items including a magazine, paper towels, bath tissue, dog food and other items with a combined value of $111.07 that she did not pay for before leaving the store. She was released with a notice to appear in court May 2, 2013.

Public Drunkenness

Joseph M. Montes, 22, of the 1400 block of Exeter Lane, South Elgin, was cited at 1:06 a.m. on the 1000 block of North 2nd Street (Route 31) with disorderly conduct-public drunkenness. The officer found Montes, with his T-shirt off and tucked in his pants, staggering in the middle of the roadway at Ferson Creek Park. The officer noted there is no illumination of Route 31 at that point and that Montes had placed himself in potentially significant danger.

Public Drunkenness

Michael J. Whalen, 27, of the 100 block of Kenneth Circle, Elgin, was cited at 12:33 a.m. in the 200 block of West Main Street with disorderly conduct-public drunkenness.

Public Drunkenness

Dana L. Bee, 21, of the 200 block of Willow Lane, Streamwood, and Mark T. Rains, 26, of the 00-99 block of Castle Bar Court, South Elgin, were each cited at 12:42 a.m. in the 300 block of Cedar Street with disorderly conduct-public drunkenness. Police were called to the area on a report by , of a group of drunken people running through the parking lot at 3rd and Cedar streets. The pub complained the group had kicked and damaged the pub’s sidewalk chalkboard sign. Police later encountered Bee and Rains, who admitted to being with the group that had damaged the sign but denied doing the damage. The officer cited each after determining they were intoxicated.

Warrant Arrest

Andrea R. Nielsen, 23, of the 1900 block of Wessel Court, was arrested at 5:01 p.m. in the 00-99 block of Water Street, Batavia, on an unspecified warrant from St. Charles.

THURSDAY, APRIL 4, 2013

Prowler, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Peter Joseph Vicicondi, 18, of the 800 block of Paige Lane, Hampshire, was cited at 2 p.m. at 1400 S. 13th Ave., with disorderly conduct-prowler, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted $100 cash bond and was released pending a May 16, 2013 court appearance.

Warrant Arrest

Michael Ronald Blumenthal, 33, of the 200 block of North Grace Avenue, Park Ridge, was arrested at 2 p.m. in the 1800 block of South 4th Place on a St. Charles warrant for failure to appear in court on a local ordinance violation. He posted $100 cash bond and was released pending an April 25, 2013 court appearance.
