St. Charles Police Blotter: Thefts, Cannabis Charges, Hit and Run

SUNDAY, SEPT. 8, 2013


Retail Theft


Nancy A. Lisinski, 59, of the 1N600 block of Bob-O-Link Drive, Winfield, was charged at 8:24 p.m. at Von Maur, 3810 E. Main St., with retail theft, a Class 3 felony. Store employees told police Lisinski had placed some items in her purse. The items had a combined value of $1,117.97. Lisinski was transported to the Kane County Jail to await a court appearance.

Cannabis Possession


Matthew T. Castoro, 20, of the 700 block of Hobart Drive, South Elgin, was charged at 8:04 p.m. at Dunham Road and Muirfield Court with possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis. He was released on his own recognizance pending an appearance in court.

Hit and Run


Samantha Marie Holden, 26, of the 1600 block of Riverside Avenue, was charged at 4:45 p.m. after turning herself in at the St. Charles Police Department, 211 N. Riverside Drive, with hit and run-failure to report damage to an unattended vehicle. Police were called at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, to Rookies, 1545 W. Main St., where witnesses said a black sport utility vehicle had just backed into a parked minivan and then had left. Police found Holden’s vehicle. The woman told police she fled because she was afraid. She then agreed to come to the police station on Sept. 6 to be booked on the charge. She posted $150 bond and a $50 booking fee and was released pending an Oct. 17, 2013 court appearance.

Cannabis Charges


Raul Barrera, 34, of the 700 block of Leslie Lane, Glendale Heights, was cited with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.


Deceptive Practice


Pamela L. Vandeursen, of the 700 block of Persimmon Drive, was charged at 3:56 p.m. at the St. Charles Police Department, 211 N. Riverside Drive, with deceptive practice-more than $150. She posted $1,000 cash bond and was released pending a Sept. 26, 2013 court appearance.


WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 4, 2013


Warrant Arrest


Raul Torres-Chavez, 25, of the 00-99 block of South 14th Street, was arrested at 7:28 p.m. on the 00-99 block of South 14th Street on two St. Charles police warrants for failure to appear in courts — on on a driving under the influence charge, the second on a driving while license suspended charge. He was transported to the Kane County Jail pending a court appearance.


Retail Theft


Alexandra Lizette Pizarro, 18, of the 2600 block of Royal Georges Court, was charged at 5:45 p.m. at Von Maur, 3810 E. Main St., with retail theft, a Class 3 felony, after she reportedly left the store without paying for a jacket, designer jeans, two shirts, a dress, headphones and a cellphone case, all with a combined value of $329. She was transported to the Kane County Jail pending a court appearance.


Theft Greater than $500


Timothy M. Paulsen, 29, of the 900 block of Riverside Avenue, was charged at 1 p.m. at the St. Charles Police Department, 211 N. Riverside Drive, with theft greater than $500. He was held in the Kane County Jail pending a court appearance.


Cannabis, Traffic Charges


Jorge Lopez, 27, of the 1600 block of Indiana Street, was cited at 6:48 a.m. on the 400 block of West Main Street, with possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis, no driver’s license, no insurance, and disobeying a traffic-control signal. He posted $150 cash bond and was released pending a Sept. 26, 2013 hearing.


TUESDAY, SEPT. 3, 2013


Warrant Arrest


Gladis Avila, 27m of the 600 block of South 11th Avenue, was arrested at 7:58 p.m. at her home on a warrant for failure to appear in court on unspecified charges. She posted $500 cash bond and a $75 booking fee and was released pending an Oct. 10, 2013 court appearance.


Retail Theft


Vaishaliban K. Patel, 44, and Unnati D. Patel, 50, both of the 2300 block of Barnhart Street, West Chicago, were each charged at 11 a.m. at their home with retail theft. Further details were not immediately available.


Disorderly Conduct, Theft of Labor or Services


Przemyslaw Marcin Kurkowski, 24, of Phoenix, Ariz., was charged at 1:23 a.m. at 1635 E. Main St. with disorderly conduct, and theft of labor or services. He was held in jail pending a court appearance.

Criminal Damage to Property


Joseph R. Neubauer, 29, of the 600 block of Oakwood Drive, Geneva, was charged at 3:28 a.m. with criminal damage to property. Officers were dispatched to Rookies, 1545 W. Main St., on a report of a fight in progress and damage to a vehicle. Police learned both individuals had fled. A cabbie told the officer he had transported the men from Chicago to Rookies, they paid their fare and exited the cab, but then started to fight. The cabbie told police Neubauer shoved the other fare against the cab, denting the rear passenger door. Damage was estimated at $250. Both men ran off, but the cabbie told police he was one drive off in a car and gave the officer the license plate number, which was registered to Neubauer. He was stopped a short while later and was charged with DUI, which St. Charles Patch reported Sept. 3. Neubauer was released on his own recognizance on the criminal damage to property charge and was ordered to appear in court Sept. 26, 2013.
