SATURDAY, AUG. 10, 2013


Retail Theft


Violet Pearl Ingersoll, 27, of the 6N900 block of Riverside Drive, was charged at 5:39 p.m. at Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road, on a charge of retail theft. According to the report, Ingersoll went through a self-checkout lane but did not scan 21 items valued at $155.68. The report states she did scan and pay for $62.15 in merchandize and then left the store with all the items. She was stopped outside the story by its loss-prevention personnel. Ingersoll made a statement to police that this was a mistake and that she had not intended to steal the items and had enough cash to pay for them. She paid a $50 booking fee and was released with a notice to appear in Kane County Branch Court on Sept. 19, 2013.


Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol


Luis Geraldo Oliva, 35, of the 6600 block of Kedvale Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 1:56 a.m. on the 1000 block of South 2nd Street (Route 31) on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding-46 in a 30 mph zone, and no insurance. He posted his driver’s license and $300 cash bond and was released pending a Sept. 19, 2013 court appearance.

Criminal Property Damage


Javier A. Perez, 35, of the 100 block of North 4th Street, Aurora, was charged at 1:17 a.m. at the Fairfield Inn and Suites, 2096 Bricher Road. According to the report, Perez was seen puncturing two tires of a pickup in the parking lot of the inn. He posted $150 cash bond and was released pending a Sept. 19, 2013 court appearance.

Drug Paraphernalia Possession


Anthony Lawrence Parise Jr., 19, of the 1500 block of Rita Avenue, was charged at 10:49 a.m. at South Tyler Road and Rita Avenue with disobeying a traffic-control device, driving on a suspended license, no insurance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to police, an officer pulled him over after Parise ran a stop sign. Parise had a glass cannabis pipe in his possession. He posted $150 cash bond and was released pending aSept. 12, 2013 court appearance.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol


Joseph Charles Kimmer, 48, of the 100 block of Westhaven Circle, Geneva, was charged at 11:05 p.m. on the 1400 block of West Main Street, with DUI, speeding-60 in a 30 mph zone, and no insurance. He posted his driver’s license and $300 cash bond and was released pending a Sept. 19, 2013 court appearance.


Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol


Kristen Lee Ramirez, 40, of the 24000 block of Washington Drive, Plainfield, was charged at 9:55 p.m. on the 1100 block of Geneva Road with DUI, DUI with a blood-alcohol content of .8 or more, and improper lane use. Police arrested Ramirez after receiving a phone tip that an intoxicated woman in a sport utility vehicle was southbound on South 2nd Street (Route 31) south of Illinois Street. A police car in the area pulled her over and arrested her. Police said her blood-alcohol content was .154. She posted her driver’s license, a $100 cash bond, and a $50 booking fee and was released pending a court appearance.


Two Arrested After Crash


William D. Lang, 20, of the 1400 block of Myrtle Park, Schaumburg, was charged at 3:37 a.m. on the 00-99 block of Prairie Street with DUI-alcohol, obstructing identification, driving with license suspended, no insurance, improper lane use, and underage consumption of alcohol. His passenger, Michael E. Walsh, 19, of the 1800 block of Oriole Drive, Elk Grove, was charged at the same time with possession of between 10 and 30 grams of cannabis.


Hit and Run


Ricky Lee Luna, 49, of the 1400 block of Madison Avenue, was charged at 3:37 a.m. on the 1400 block of Madison Avenue with failure to yield or stop at an intersection, driving on a suspended or revoked license, and leaving the scene of a vehicle damage accident. Further details were not immediately available. He posted $150 cash bond and was released .


WEDNESDAY, AUG. 7, 2013


Criminal Trespass


Daniel Thomas Long, 19, of the 0S400 block of Melolane Drive, was charged at 8:35 p.m. at the St. Charles Police Department, 211 N. Riverside Drive, with criminal trespass to property. Further details were not immediately available.


Criminal Property Damage


The St. Charles Park District, 8 North Ave., reported at 9:49 p.m. that someone had spray-painted graffiti on a  restroom stall divider at the East Side Sports Complex, 3565 Legacy Boulevard. Damage was estimated at $150.


Theft of Less than $500


A 37-year-old resident reported at 5:54 p.m. the theft of her iPhone while she was at Walmart, 150 Smith Road. The victim said she was paying for some items when she placed her cellphone on the counter and then forgot it. She returned 10 minutes later to retrieve her phone, but it was gone.


Criminal Property Damage


Mobil, 1023 W. Main St., reported at 7:33 a.m. that someone had drawn graffiti on one of the station’s pumps overnight.

Retail Theft


AT&T Wireless, 917 S. Randall Road, reported at 7:58 p.m. the theft of a Samsung Galaxy S4 cellphone valued at $650.


MONDAY, AUG. 5, 2013


Property Defacement


The city of St. Charles reported at 11:44 a.m. that someone had spray-painted a blue cartoon face on on a retaining wall along the West Side of the Fox River along the 00-99 block of 1st Street, about 200 feet south of the Main Street Bridge.
