SUNDAY, OCT. 20, 2013


Warrant Arrest


Aaron Daniel Feltgen, 32, of the 800 block of Howell Drive, Geneva, was arrested at 2:35 a.m. at 99 S. Riverside Drive, on an Aurora police warrant for retail theft. He was unable to post bond

Retail Theft


Cathy Lynn Jensen, 47, was charged at 2:49 p.m. at Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road, with retail theft. According to police, Jensen used a self-checkout lane where she scanned some items but not others, and left the store without paying for 24 items valued at $139.02. She posted $150 cash bond and was released pending a Dec. 5, 2013 court appearance.


Criminal Property Damage


A resident of the 900 block of Lexington Avenue reported at 12:17 p.m. that someone, between Oct. 13 and Oct. 16, 2013, broke the side-view mirror of his 199 Chevrolet Cavalier while it was parked in the street in front of his residence. Damage was estimated at $200.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol


Guy Joseph Sclafani, 44, of the 7600 block of West Talcott Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 11:42 p.m. with driving under the influence of alcohol, and DUI with a blood-alcohol concentration greater than .08. Police said his blood-alcohol concentration was .125. He was released on his own recognizance pending a Nov. 14, 2013 court appearance.


Retail Theft


Claudia Virginia Acevedo, 29, of the 100 block of Stevens Street, Geneva, was cited at 7:04 p.m. at Walmart, 150 Smith Road, with retail theft. According to police, Acevedo left the store without paying for four CDs valued at $36.59. She was released pending a Nov. 21, 2013 court appearance.


DUI


Manuel Ambrosio Garcia Jr., 37, of the 1500 block of Deerfield Court, was charged at 1:17 a.m. at Dunham Road and East Main Street with DUI, and disobeying a traffic-control sign. He posted his driver’s license and $100 cash bond and was released pending a Nov. 13, 2013 court appearance.

Woman Charged in Crash


Lizeth Banuelos-Luna, 27, of the 100 block of Walnut Drive, was charged at 10:2 p.m. at Randall Road and Route 38 with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving too fast for conditions, improper lane use, no driver’s license, and no insurance. According to police, Banuelos-Luna was southbound on Randall when she suddenly swerved into the right-turn lane to avoid a semi stopped for a traffic light. In swerving into the turn lane, her vehicle struck another vehicle. There were no injuries reported. She was released on her own recognizance pending a Nov. 21, 2013 court appearance.


TUESDAY, OCT. 15, 2013


Retail Theft


A 17-year-old Batavia girl was cited at 5:43 p.m. at Von Maur, 3810 E. Main St., with retail theft. Further details were not immediately available except that she was being held at the Kane County Jail pending a court appearance.


DUI


James Moore, 59, of the 800 block of Blue Ridge Drive, Streamwood, was charged at 9:04 p.m. at Ohio Avenue and South Kirk Road with DUI, and improper lane use. He was released on his own recognizance pending a Nov. 21, 2013 court appearance.


Warrant Arrest


Joshua A. Love, 20, of the 200 block of Grand Ridge Road, was arrested at 12:32 a.m. on the 00-99 block of North 12th Street on a St. Charles warrant for failure to appear in court. He was unable to post $500 bond and a $75 failure to appear fee and was transported to the Kane County Jail to await a court appearance.


MONDAY, OCT. 14, 2013


Criminal Trespass to a Vehicle


A resident of the 300 block of Moody Street reported at 6:05 p.m. that someone entered his parked 2013 Jeep Wrangler while it was parked in his driveway. The resident told police he was awakened about 1 a.m. to the sound of a car alarm and looked out the window to see a vehicle driving away. He went outside to find someone had unzipped the rear window of of the vehicle’s soft-shell top and then unlocked a rear door to enter the vehicle. The resident said nothing was stolen, nor was there any damage to the vehicle, so he initially did not call police. He reported the incident later to make police aware of the incident.

Underage Consumption/Possession of Alcohol


Jamal W. Abu Gheida, 18, of the 7N200 block of Hickory Lane, Elgin, was cited at noon at 1020 Dunham Road with underage possession/consumption of alcohol.
