SUNDAY, SEPT. 23, 2012

Vehicle Burglary

A 21-year-old South Elgin man reported at 12:30 a.m. someone broke the driver-side front window of his vehicle while it was parked in the 100 block of 2nd Avenue. The victim told police the vehicle had been parked for about an hour and 15 minutes. A Passport Radar Detector and an iPod Touch were reported missing. No value was reported.

Home Burglary

A 40-year-old resident of the 3700 block of Antoine Court reported at 9:26 a.m. a burglary to his home overnight. A Sony PlayStation 3 with two game controllers and an HTC Hero smartphone were reported missing.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

Vincent James Digiorgio, 22, of Oshkosh, Wis., was arrested at 2:06 a.m. in the 200 block of Cedar Street on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, and DUI with a blood-alcohol content exceeding .08. According to police, his blood alcohol content was .223. He was released after posting $300 bond and was ordered to appear in court on Oct. 18.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 21, 2012

Retail Theft

Zachery Tyler Duncan, 18, of the 9400 block of Commons Drive, Hickory Hills, was charged with retail theft at 5:18 p.m. at Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road. According to the report, Duncan took a Daisy Air Pellet Rifle and pellets, a bottle of Louisiana Hot Sauce, two cans of Hormel chili, an energy drink and a package of Funyons, with a combined value of $61.84. He was transported to the Kane County Jail to await a court appearance.

Warrant Arrest

Jose Gutierrez, 36, of the 200 block of North 15 Street, was arrested at 1:55 p.m. at 211 N. Riverside Ave., on a Cook County warrant for DUI. He was transported to the Kane County Jail to await transfer to Cook County authorities.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 20, 2012

Criminal Damage to Property

A 53-year-old Plainfield man reported at 6:46 p.m. that someone had damaged the retractable truck bed cover on his vehicle. Damage was estimated at $1,100.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 19, 2012

Warrant Arrest

Brittany Nicole Adcock, 19, of the 100 block of North 15th Street, was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license, failure to wear a seat belt, and driving an uninsured vehicle. She was arrested on an Elk Grove Village warrant. She was ordered to appear in Kane County Branch Court on the traffic charges. She posted $300 bond and a $75 warrant fee and was ordered to appear in Cook County Court in Rolling Meadows on Oct. 16 on the Elk Grove Village warrant.
