Warrant Arrest, Traffic Charges
Antonio DeJesus Cruz, 26, of the 700 block of North Pierce St., Aurora, was arrested at 5:50 a.m. on the 1400 block of West Main Street on a Kendall County warrant for failure to appear in court. He also was charged with speeding, 53 in a 35 mph zone, no driver’s license, and no insurance. He was released on his own recognizance on the local charges but transported to the Kane County Jail pending arrival of Kendall County authorities on the warrant.
Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
Juana Belle Alonzo, 36, of the 00-99 block of Poplar Creek Drive, Elgin, was charged at 12:51 a.m. on the 200 block of Cedar Street with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper backing, and improper lane use. Police responding to that location to assist an ambulance had their attention directed to a vehicle that appeared to have difficulty parking in an area that was restricted for use as a taxi stand. She later posted her driver’s license and $100 cash bond and was released pending an Oct. 17, 2013 court appearance.
