Blotter: Arrests for Marijuana Possession, DUI and Public Drunkenness

The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Possession of marijuana and paraphernalia

Dalton Michael Muir, 18, of 50W570 Winters Rd., Maple Park, was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Aug. 28, according to a report. Muir’s SUV was stopped in the 3400 block of Lincoln Highway when the officer allegedly noticed that it did not have its rear lights on. During the stop, the officer reportedly was able to smell burnt marijuana. When asked, Muir allegedly told police that he had some of the drug in his car. During a search, police found a small baggie and a small glass water bong. The substance in the baggie tested positive as marijuana. Muir was arrested and issued citations.

DUI arrest

Anthony Charles Johnson, 29, of 2023 18th St. No. B, Moline, was arrested on Aug. 28 for drunken driving, according to police reports. Police reportedly saw a car, later determined to be driven by Johnson, cross the traffic lines on a couple different streets before being stopped. Johnson allegedly had slurred speech and admitted to drinking several beers that night. Tests for intoxication were performed, after which Johnson was arrested. A search of his car also turned up open cans with what looked and smelled like beer. Johnson was cited for the two counts of driving under the influence and two traffic violations, as well as having an open container of alcohol.

You can stand there, sir

Eric A. Finlon, 32, of 724 Small Ct., Naperville, was cited for being drunk in public on Aug. 28, according to a police report. A St. Charles police officer found Finlon standing in Main Street outside of a downtown bar. He reportedly told the officer to write him a ticket, so the officer did. He also claimed to be the son of a “commander with DuPage County.”
