Blotter: Man Parks Mustang at Police Department, Faces DUI Citation

The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Man parks car at police compound entrance, is arrested for DUI

Christopher James Arbeen, 33, of 331 Riverview Dr., South Elgin, was arrested for drunken driving on Sept. 10, according to a report. Arbeen reportedly had parked his yellow Ford Mustang, blocking the entrance to the St. Charles Police Department compound entrance. Police saw the driver park the car, get out and run toward Riverside Avenue. When stopped, the driver, Arbeen, told the police that he was “in no condition to be driving” and denied that he was the driver. After one officer identified Arbeen, he was asked to perform tests for intoxication and was cited for driving under the influence. He also was cited for parking where prohibited.

DUI arrest

Steven Edward Tannenbaum, 56, of 1748 Cumberland Green Dr. No. 62, was arrested on Sept. 9 and charged with two counts of drunken driving, according to a police report. Police responded to a call nearby with a complaint of someone who was possibly drunk and had driven to an apartment complex office. Officers met with the person the call was about, Tannenbaum, who reportedly told police that he had been drinking. Tests for intoxication were performed, after which Tannenbaum was cited for driving under the influence. After a test of his blood-alcohol level, he was given a second DUI charge.

Forgery

Vance White, 25, of 7249 S. Evans, Chicago, was arrested on Sept. 12 for forgery and two traffic violations, according to a police report.
