UPDATE: Death in Batavia Monday Might Be Tied to Bike Accident

Police say the the Fox River Trail is safe, following the discovery of a 46-year-old man in the area on Monday. Looks like foul play may not be involved in his death.

Police no longer consider foul play to be involved in the death of a 46-year-old Aurora man whose body was found in Batavia on Monday.

Instead,  are investigating Brett Straight's death as a possible bicycle accident, the Kane County Chronicle reports.

Police are fairly confident that the incident was not a suicide, according to the story.

No gunshot wound or firearm caused the death of the victim, Glenn Autenrieth, a Batavia deputy police chief, told the Daily Herald.

The public is not in any danger, the Herald's story said.
