As a reminder, the City of St. Charles Snow Route Parking Ban is in effect when snow accumulations reach 2.” In addition, when snowfalls reach 3” or more, a full citywide parking ban goes into effect for all city streets. The Police Department will begin enforcing these parking regulations approximately one hour after the designated accumulations are reached. The bans are needed to allow plows to properly clear streets for the safety of all motorists.

“The parking ban is necessary to allow the plows to clear the streets with no obstructions,” said Police Commander Erik Mahan. “Motorists and emergency vehicles need to be able to navigate the streets safely.”

Snow routes are marked with blue signs. More information is available on the snow removal page of the City’s website www.stcharlesil.gov or contact Commander Mahan at 630-377-4435.
