ComEd, Stop Sign, City Trees on City Agenda Tonight

Meeting is tonight at 7.

City officials will review a ComEd reliability report for the second quarter during Monday night's Government Operations Committee meeting.

Officials will look at the cause of some power outages since earlier this year, including those caused by storms, including the June 24 and July 1 storms, a broken power pole and a bird that flew too close.

Committee members will vote on a budget addition of $121.673 for the watering of 1,000 trees planted within the last year and the cutting and pruning of trees damaged by severe winds during a July 1 storm. Watering of the trees is expected to cost up to $77,005. According to city documents the trees could require six waterings over the next three months at a cost of $9 per watering.
