Pottawatomie Park in the Running to Receive $100K in America's Favorite Park Contest

The St. Charles Park District is asking residents to vote on-line for Pottawatomie Park through Sept. 6.

in St. Charles is in the running to be named America’s favorite park and to receive as much as $100,000 from Coca-Cola’s America Is Your Park national campaign.

Whichever park receives the most online votes will be chosen winner of the campaign designed to restore, rebuild or enhance our parks, according to a press release from the St. Charles Park District.

Voting is underway and the St. Charles Park District is requesting local residents vote for Pottawatomie Park as many times as they want through Sept. 6 by visiting www.livepositively.com. To vote for Pottawatomie Park, select it from an interactive map, upload photos to the site, or “check-in” via a Facebook at www.livepositively.com.

One point will be awarded to Pottawatomie Park for each on-line vote and five points are awarded for each uploaded photos or Facebook check-in.

The park with the most votes will receive $100,000, the second-place park will receive $50,000 and the third-place park will receive $25,000.
