St. Charles Residents Scrutinize Housing Development Proposal

Residents have included expressions of distrust in the Lexington Club developer, according to one account.

A group of residents, representing what they say are many others, have continued to level concerns at city officials and the developer regarding a proposed development on the former Applied Composites industrial site.

Some are now expressing a certain level of distrust in their concerns over how long the project has sat stagnant, according to an article in the Daily Herald.

The scrutiny from the public came during Monday night meeting, where developers, officials and residents discussed the proposed development of 142 single-family house, townhouses and row home called .

Whether the new homes would even sell was a concern brought up by at least two residents at the meeting, according to the Kane County Chronicle.

A final vote on the proposed plan is expected to take place Feb. 14.
