St. Charles Schedules More Workshops for Comprehensive Plan

The meetings are planned for Sept. 22, Sept. 28 and Oct. 12.

St. Charles residents are invited to attend a series of neighborhood workshops scheduled by the City of St. Charles to help shape a new municipal comprehensive plan for growth and development.

The following workshops are planned:

  • East side: 7 p.m. Sept. 22 at , 2900 E. Main St.
  • West side: 7 p.m. Sept. 28 in the building traffic courtroom, 530 S. Randall Rd.
  • Downtown: 7 p.m. Oct. 12 in the Collins Auditorium, 101 S. 2nd St.

St. Charles had held the first workshop for the plan on Aug. 31.

Resident participation is vital to developing the , which serves as a long-range vision for St. Charles by defining community goals and objectives and providing guidance for implementing programs and policies, according to information provided by the City of St. Charles

The workshops help city officials gather insight to enable them to focus on city-wide issues as well as those that are specific to each city area.

Workshop summaries will be posted on the Comprehensive Plan Project’s website and printed versions also will be available at the .

Residents also can offer opinions regarding community assets, concerns and opportunities through the interactive Community Mapper tool on the Comprehensive Plan Project website.
