Romeo’s Tip of the Week: Think things through thoroughly before making a big final decision!

Posts by Romeo, the little black dog.

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone’s’ week was a good one.

Do you ever just do something on the spur of the moment without pre-planning or thinking it thru? That can be kind of exciting! But there are some things that shouldn’t be done on a whim.

Matters of importance take thought and preparation before making a final decision. For instance, when you want to adopt/purchase a pet, as much as I’d like to see more people give good loving homes to animals in need, it’s a decision that requires thought and pre-planning. Go to your local library or get on the internet and do a little research about the type of pet you’d like to get. Take into consideration the space in your home for a pet and the time you have to give for pet care. Keep in mind expenses, such as, vaccines, grooming, food, bedding, etc. Your new pet will depend on you for all its needs, and that’s a big responsibility!

Bringing a new pet into your home can be a wonderful experience, but it can also be a disaster for both you and the pet without proper planning. Pets need weekly grooming (some pets need daily grooming). Fresh water and food every day is a must. Some pets require vaccines to prevent disease, and some pets require fresh bedding often in their cage. If you are getting a dog or cat, and you are concerned about the expensive vaccines, check to see what lost-cost vet services your city may offer. Taking the time to pre-plan will help make things go much smoother when you bring your pet home.

Make sure you are prepared to be patient when training your new pet, and remember they may be a bit afraid of their new environment at first. With lots of love and care, they will soon feel at home with you and give you back more love than you thought possible.

My tip this week: On matters of importance, think things thru thoroughly before making a final decision!

Have a great week!
