3 of 4 St. Charles School Board Members Back in

Newcomer to join incumbents on St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 Board of Education.

The St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 Board of Education will seat a new member in the weeks after Tuesday’s consolidated election.

District 303 voters on Tuesday night re-elected frontrunner Corinne M. Pierog and fellow incumbents Steven L. Spurling and James Gaffney. New to the board is Edward McNally, an educator who with 2,999 votes finished the race in the No. 2 spot, according to unofficial tallies. Pierog finished in No. 1 with 3,216 votes. Spurling, with 2,848 votes, finished third, followed by Gaffney with 2,606.

Among the remaining District 303 candidates, Nancy A. Muzzey finished No. 5 with 2,256 votes, James P. Conro with 2,071 votes, incumbent Michael A. Vyzral with 1,447 votes, and Richard A. Leidig Jr. with 1,432 votes.
