St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 has called off classes and after-school activities for a second day because of the potentially deadly cold conditions in the region.
"All District 303 schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 7 due to weather conditions," the district said in a message posted on its website. "In addition, all after-school activities are cancelled. Additional information regarding these events will be posted on D303.org or your school's web site as it becomes available."
