New Principals, Football Coach Coming to St. Charles

Board of Education approves personnel report naming new principals, new North High head football coach.

Several schools will be getting new principals in the coming school year.

The personnel report the St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 Board of Education approved on Monday night lists new hires, as well as staff resignations, retirements and terminations.

The report shows that Pamela Jensen has been hired as principal at Haines Middle School. Jensen received her bachelor’s degree in education from Illinois State University in Normal, and her master’s in education from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb. Her past experience includes 13 years in Oswego School District 308, where she worked five years as a junior high school principal and eight years as an assistant principal. She also worked seven years in Aurora School District 129, where she was a junior high dean for three years and a math teacher for four.

Timothy Loversky will take the reins as principal of Thompson Middle School. With a bachelor’s iin education from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wis., and a master’s from National Louis University in Wheaton, he worked for 13 years in Carpentersville-based Community Unit School District 300, where was a principal for 11 years and an assistant principal for two. He also worked eight years as a middle school teacher in Wheaton School District 200, and one year as an elementary teacher in District 101 in Batavia.

Thompson Principal Steve Morrill will take over as principal at Wredling Middle School.

District spokesman Jim Blaney said Robert Pomazak has been hired as a physical education instructor and as head football coach at St. Charles North High School. With a bachelor’s in education from North Central College in Naperville and a master’s in exercise science/health from California University of Pennsylvania, he worked eight years as a physical education teacher at Elk Grove High School in District 214 in Elk Grove Village.
