St. Charles North Drill Teams Win at Regionals

St. Charles North High School’s Drill Team dominated at the Team Dance Illinois Regional Dance Competition at Naperville Central High School on Feb. 3, 2013.

The varsity team competed in the Open Pom, Lyrical, and Open Dance categories in the 3A division, earning first place in their division in each category, and a qualification to the Team Dance Illinois State Championship on March 3, 2013 at the Civic Center in Peoria.

The junior varsity team won first place in the Open Pom and Open Dance categories, and second place in the Lyrical category. Their scores also earned them with a qualification to the Team Dance Illinois State Championship.

The varsity team is coached by Nancy Franson-Prentiss and the junior varsity team is coached by Colleen Kobler. Both teams will be competing next at Batavia High School on Feb. 10, 2013.
