Taoist Tai Chi Beginner Class

Tai Chi provides the non impact exercise alternative to help relax your body and replenish your energy in a natural, holistic way. Using a phased training approach, Tai Chi is a valuable form of non-impact exercise and an internal art of health that is adapted to any health and fitness level of need. The Taoist Tai Chi Society is a vibrant non-profit organization with more than 40,000 members in 30 countries. Their mission is to bring the health benefits of tai chi to all people. The society is very popular in Canada and is growing rapidly in Europe. Taoist Tai Chi was developed by Moy Lin Shin to promote health and well-being for people of all ages. This art is a very effective form of holistic health training taught in a relaxed, club-like atmosphere by accredited volunteer instructors.

The benefits of Taoist Tai Chi are improved circulation, balance, increased strength and flexibility, plus reduction of stress. A beginner can expect three to four months of classes to learn the gentle movement sequence. Taoist Tai Chi Society beginner classes are held at their new location in St Charles' Charlestowne Mall, lower level, next to Carson's. Beginner classes are held Wednesday evenings 6:30-8:00p.m.; Tuesday and Saturday mornings 10:00-11:30 a.m. Continuing classes are offered to further develop and refine movement and for ongoing health benefits. Adaptive classes, called Health Recovery, are open to anyone with special needs due to injury, illness or disability. Membership fee required after the first complementary intro class. Student and Senior rates available. More information is available at http://midwest.usa.taoist.org; by calling 630-443-3489 or email westsuburbanchicago@taoist.org
