FINAL: St. Charles North Stars Top Geneva Vikings 26-7

A very good St. Charles North sophomore team wins the opener.

In the opening act Friday night, the St. Charles North Stars sophomore defeated the Geneva Vikings 26-7.

Led by quarterback Kyle Novotney, the North Stars built a 19-0 lead and scored in the final seconds of the third quarter to go ahead 26-0.

Geneva's Justin Taormina scored with 7:56 left in the fourth quarter to narrow the margin to 19, but Geneva's high, short onside kick was cleanly fielded, and St. Charles North was able to run out the clock for the win.
