St. Charles' Manski Posts Soccer Milestones

North High grad notches career-high 13 saves and ties Valparaiso's shutout record as she closes in on team's overall and single-season bests. East grad Ketterling scores No. 2 for the season.

Former Eclipse Select Soccer Club goalkeeper Kristen Manski added two milestones at Valparaiso, the club announced in a release this week.

The St. Charles resident and St. Charles North High School grad had a career-high 13 saves and posted her 20th career clean sheet to tie a Valparaiso record Sunday night during the team's scoreless draw against Wright State, the club announced.

Manski's 20 shutouts tie Mele Cabral and Erin Murray for the most in the Crusader program's history, according to the club. With eight shutouts this season, Manski is just two short of the team’s record for one season. Manski’s next opportunity to break Valparaiso’s shutout record will be Wednesday when the Crusaders face Loyola.
