St. Charles North Grad Manski Earns Soccer Conference Honors
St. Charles native Kristen Manski posts two shutout wins in Horizon League play.
St. Charles North grad and Eclipse Select Soccer Club alumna and Valparaiso junior goalkeeper Kristen Manski of St. Charles was named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week, the soccer club announced Thursday.
Eclipse said on its website that Manski is the second Eclipse Select alumna and St. Charles North grad to earn the Horizon League award already this year. Wisconsin-Milwaukee senior goalkeeper Jamie Forbes of St. Charles was the league's top defender for the week of Aug. 13-19.
According to Eclipse, Manski made six saves during Valparaiso’s 2-0 victory over Western Michigan, then followed up with a two-save effort en route to a 3-0 win against Bowling Green on Sunday.

Manski has posted four shutouts in seven games and now has 16 career clean sheets, Elcipse reported.
Manski leads the Horizon League with her four shutouts and is second in goals against average at 0.69.
