Bobby Hess broke away for a 63-yard run from scrimmage, with a good stiff arm and better speed to get outside. Geneva led for the first time, 21-17.
The Saints were forced to punt, and a bad long-snap exchange gave Geneva the ball on the Saints' 14. A score on the fourth made the game 28-17.

After that, Mother Nature took over. Saints fumble. Geneva fumble. Saints intercept, but turn it over on downs. A lot of penalties on both sides of the ball.
The Geneva sealed the win on a drive that included eight Parker Woodworth runs—the biggest a 30-yarder on third down. He scored from 7 yards out with 1:27 left, and a 35-17 Geneva victory was in store.
