Four St. Charles Park District Seats Open for Board Election

There will be four seats open for candidates seeking election to the St. Charles Park District Board of Commissioners at the Consolidated Election on April 9, 2013.

There will be four seats open for candidates seeking election to the St. Charles Park District Board of Commissioners at the Consolidated Election on April 9, 2013.  Park Board Commissioners do not receive any compensation and serve four-year terms. Commissioners receive no compensation and Board members are expected to serve on committees and attend a minimum of two to three meetings each month.  In addition, commissioners are assigned to represent the Park District as liaisons to various not-for-profit groups and organizations.

Petitions for candidates for election to the office of park commissioner may be circulated beginning September 25, 2012.  The filing period for these petitions will be December 17-24, 2012.  The petitions should be filed with Board Secretary Nancy A. Cox at Baker Community Center, 101 South Second Street, St. Charles, Illinois.

Persons interested in this election may obtain information and materials at the St. Charles Park District Administrative office, 101 South Second Street, St. Charles, Illinois.  The office is open Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays.  Information is also available online at www.elections.il.gov.
