50 West Chicago Kids Participate in Camp Hope

Fifty youth participate in project hosted by B.R. Ryall YMCA and local police.

A partnership between the B.R. Ryall YMCA of Northwestern DuPage County and the West Chicago Police Department's Neighborhood Resource Centers resulted in many West Chicago children enjoying a weeklong adventure of fun with friends, according to West Chicago police.

According to a press release, Camp Hope 2012 served 50 youth from the Main Park and Riverwoods Apartments, offering sports and outdoor activities at Pioneer Park. There also were daily outings to such destinations as Xtreme Trampoline, Wheaton Bowl and Studio Movie Grill. The final day featured a cookout at the Town and Country Apartments complex.

The release credited donations from Itasca Bank & Trust, Dr. Penny Belke and Anne Bouchard of the YMCA Board, Chick-Fil-A, Studio Movie Grill and Qdoba, Xtreme Trampoline and Wheaton Bowl as contributing to the program’s success.
