City of St. Charles’ RiverFest Main Stage Lineup Announced

Three days of live entertainment and a variety of fun activities are coming to St. Charles in June.

Pride of the Fox Inc. on Monday announced the Main Stage lineup for the city’s annual downtown riverfront festival, which also will feature a new location for the Main Stage.

The three days of live, free musical entertainment will be among the highlights of the City of St. Charles’ RiverFest, June 7-9, 2013, in downtown St. Charles.

The Main Stage this year will be along the Fox River on Plaza Green at 1st Street and Illinois Avenue. The new venue is conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and more.

“We are excited about the new location of our Main Stage and are presenting everything from country, rock, Motown to even rhythm and blues,” said Pride of the Fox Inc. Executive Director Julie Farris. “Our music committee continues to bring new and exciting bands to the Main Stage, and are we happy to announce that some of last year’s favorites will be returning.”

Friday, June 7, 2013:

6-7 p.m. — The Skelters, the winner of Battle of the Bands during RiverFest 2012.

7:15-8 p.m. — 28 Days, which plays pop, rock, funk, classic rock, country, techno, rap, R&B, and Gospel music.

8:30-10:30 p.m. — Modern Day Romeos, whose musical spectrum includes Motown classics, classic rock jams, ’80s favorites, ’90s gems, and the tops of pop, dance and rock of the 2000s.

Saturday, June 8, 2013:

Noon to 3 p.m. — Battle of the Bands, the student band competition.

3:30-5:30 p.m. — 1Sam10, a classic rock group formed about six years ago. The group is composed of two St. Charles police officers, one St. Charles firefighter and one civilian.

6-7:30 p.m. — The Hat Guys, whose signature sound seamlessly blends the joyful and reminiscent ambition of a Southern rock legend with the rhythmic audacity of a funk, Motown or hip-hop superstar.

8-10:30 p.m. — Mike & Joe, alternative rock cover band specializing in modern rock music from the ’90s through today.

Sunday, June 9, 2013:

Noon-3:30 p.m. — “The Originals” music segment, which is all original music performed by local musicians)

4:30-6 p.m. — The Home Wreckers, rhythm and blues.

6:30-9 p.m. — Billy Croft & the 5 Alarm, a country rock group.
